The diplomats said that the trip was a unique lifetime experience and they would share their images on social media.

All of the ambassadors were in good health after hiking through a rain forest, hanging on ropes in the hundred-metre high cave, climbing mountains, swimming in underground rivers and experiencing heavy forest rains.

US Assistant Secretary of State Tom Malinowski said that Son Doong was among the most wonderful places that he had ever visited. Meanwhile, the Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, Huge Douglas Borrowman, said that the beauty of Son Doong cave was beyond his imagination, and he was very excited about the trip.

On May 16 evening, the diplomats met with local officials and talked with the press. The Quang Binh provincial People’s Committee gave the ambassadors a badge to remember the adventure.
